MTC

We are officially missionaries! We started our mission on Jan. 18th. Just before we were set apart as missionaries, our grandson, Wesley was concerned that President Giles was going to split us apart and was really sad that we wouldn't be able to go on our mission together. He was relieved after the confusion was cleared up and that he was just going to set us apart. Megan and her kids as well as Steve and Tracy's family were there to send us off.

We just finished a great week at the MTC where we had some great experiences and made many good friends. About his MTC experience, Gary said, "Good chow, good classes, good companion, learned me how to convert the world but now I'm ready to get to Nauvoo. It hurts me knowing I'll be out there working with equipment and not able to put all this vast knowledge to work".......(sure).

We spent last night with Rick and Becky's family in Farmington UT and enjoyed a little time with the grand kids. We also celebrated Cameron's 17th birthday while there. This morning we flew from Utah back home to PA tonight just long enough to pack our car and drive to Nauvoo tomorrow.

Almost everyone we meet tells us how lucky we are to be going to Nauvoo. That makes us even more excited!
